CENTENNIAL, Colo. (Dec. 12, 2012) — The American National CattleWomen Inc. (ANCW)
promoted “Telling the Beef Story” Program Manager Sarah Bohnenkamp
to lead the organization as executive director/COO. In this role, Bohnenkamp will have overall strategic and
operational responsibility for ANCW’s staff, programs, expansion and
execution of its mission.
Bohnenkamp has worked in the field of organizational development and
leadership for 10+ years and has been with ANCW for nearly two years,
leading the Beef Checkoff-funded National Beef Ambassador Program and
National Beef Speakers Bureau.
“We’re very excited to have an executive director again, and Sarah was a natural choice for this role," said Tammi Didlot, ANCW president. "Our CattleWomen have set their sights on some amazing beef promotion, youth development and legislative goals as a part of our long-range plan, and we’re confident she will help us achieve fantastic results!”
Said Bohnenkamp, “My personal mission is to inspire people to realize their most passionate dreams, using principles provided by my western heritage. Working for cattlewomen provides me a wonderful opportunity to live my mission. I’m thrilled to work with women who have such a strong sense of purpose and who are willing to work hard to leave a lasting legacy.”
Bohnenkamp earned her degree in speech communication from Idaho State University and is a certified facilitator for many leadership development and sales programs. She lives in Parker, Colo., with her husband and 6-month-old daughter. In her spare time she enjoys cow cutting, blogging about leadership, training and horses, and singing country music.
