ESAP Program Recognizes Seven
Regional winners of the Environmental Stewardship Award Program were named in June; one will be named the national winner in San Antonio.
WASHINTON, D.C. (June 22, 2004) The Environmental Stewardship Award Program (ESAP) is an annual award program recognizing cattle producers across the nation whose stewardship practices are inventive, cost-effective and contribute to environmental conservation. The prestigious program honors seven regional winners nationwide, who then compete for the national award, announced during the Cattle Industry Annual Convention and Trade Show.
In its 14th year, the 2004 ESAP is sponsored by Dow AgroSciences LLC and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). The program is administered by the National Cattlemens Beef Association (NCBA), and award recipients are selected by a committee of representatives from university faculty, federal and state government agencies, and conservation and environmental organizations.
